Supplier Statement Audit

Most large businesses do not find time to review and reconcile the majority of their supplier statements. When resources are allocated to this task it often only covers the largest suppliers where statements have been received.
If you have overpaid your suppliers or not processed credit notes raised by them, these items will disappear from supplier statements over time, i.e., they are taken as profit by the company in question

Our Supplier Statement Audit ensures that all unrecognised credits and cash balances due to your business are verified and claimed, leading to an instant improvement to your net profit and cash position.

Caatalyst obtain copy statements/transaction histories from 95+% of the agreed supplier list. This list usually comprises approximately your top 80% of suppliers by annual spend.

We usually look for credit items more than 4 months old that have not been processed by your finance system; this prevents any overlap with current processing.

Often our call team has to make many contacts to obtain the relevant information especially where there is a significant credit balance and your supplier may be reluctant to disclose this fact.

Caatalyst provide you with a simple to follow claim form showing all items to be deducted from your next payment run and those items for which refunds have been agreed. Every single recovery item is confirmed by the supplier in question. Unlike some audit companies we never propose speculative deductions.

Our total focus is on building excellent working relationships with your suppliers. As well as hopefully maintaining the good relationship they have with your company, this approach also maximises the information flow to our audit team. We operate a feedback logging system whereby all relevant comments and information (e.g., new bank or address details) are noted and forwarded to our Client weekly (Supplier Feedback Report).
